Rada Evropy společne s Asijsko-evropskou nadací (ASEF) vás zvou na školení o lidských právech souvisejících se životním prostředím, jež se bude konat v korejském Soulu od 9. do 15. listopadu 2010. Na 30 pracovníků s mládeží se zúčastní plenárního zasedání, diskusí a pracovních skupin. Ubytování a stravování zajistí účastníkům pořadatelé, stejně jako dotaci na cestovné v maximální výši 750 €. Global Dialogue, the Youth Training on Intercultural Dialogue and Cooperation. 21. – 27.6.2010 in Ljubljana, Slovenia

Dear Friends, I would like to remind you that Global Dialogue, the Youth Training on Intercultural Dialogue and Cooperation, organised by ISCA and supported by Council of Europe, is calling for participants on the role of sports associations in promoting active youth participation and enhancing intercultural dialogue.

The main aim of the training is to develop strategies and approaches that can be used by youth sport organizations and associations in enhancing youth participation and intercultural dialogue.

Dead-line for applications on the 19th of May is getting close, therefore, please remind all interested and motivated young people: Involved at voluntary work in local, regional or national NGOs and Sport for All organizations, working in the field of international youth work, education through sport or social change, Between 18-30 years old, to fill-in on-line application form HERE form and send it back latest by 17th of May 2010.

Applications coming after this date cannot be accepted. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hledá se 6 lidí ve věku 17-24 let, kteří by se chtěli zúčastnit mládežnického tábora v Berlíně (později v severním Německu) v termínu 12.-19.9.2010. Ubytování, stravování, program a 70% cestovních nákladů hrazeno organizátory. Téma akce : Sport, dobrovolničení a práce v neziskových organizacích. Základní znalost AJ nutná ! The G(irls) 20 Summit

The viral global campaign to solicit grassroots ideas on how to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) that most impact women and girls will culminate in the inaugural, ground-breaking G(irls)20 Summit. The Summit will bring together one girl from each of the G20 countries to Toronto ten days before the official G20 Summit. This inaugural G(irls)20 Summit will reconvene prior to next year’s G20 Summit in France. This is the start of a global conversation about the economic prowess of girls and women and our commitment to creating a space where girls voices can be heard globally.

The G(irls)20 Summit is modeled after the G20 Summit and will convene one girl from each G20 country: • Argentina • Australia • Brazil • Canada • China • France • Germany • India • Indonesia • Italy • Japan • Mexico • Russia • Saudi Arabia • South Africa • South Korea • Turkey • UK • USA and a representative of the European Union.

UNESCO LITTERARY CONTEST: TEN IDEAS ON TOMORROW’S AFRICA!

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the African independencies, the Social and Human Sciences Sector of UNESCO is launching a ‘Call for ideas’ relating to prospective proposals for the development of Africa in the next ten years. Ten ideas on several subjects relating to the ongoing socio-economic and political trends in Africa will be selected by an international jury and will be presented by their authors during 10 mini-conferences which will take place in June 2010 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of African independence, the Social and Human Sciences Sector of UNESCO (SHS) is launching a “Call for Ideas” for prospective proposals in favour of Africa’s development within the next decade.
Among the proposals, which should be submitted before Friday 30 April 2010 at midnight (Paris time), 10 ideas will be selected by an international jury and presented by their author(s) during 10 small-scale conferences to be held at UNESCO Headquarters, in mid-June 2010.
These 10 contributions to the thinking on Africa’s future will also be published in a special issue of SHSviews magazine.
Each proposal is expected to develop one idea which would amplify the positive effects and reduce, or contain, the negative impacts of the major trends observed in Africa on one of the 10 following topics:

The main goal of the project “Teach and Learn with Georgia” is to recruit 1,000 native English speakers who will be willing to help Georgian schoolchildren learn the English language for the years of 2010-2011. As we strive towards globalization and acknowledge the advantages of new technology, we still consider that human interaction and people-to-people communication are irreplaceable and have far more tangible or intangible benefits than any other means of communication. This is why “Teach and Learn with Georgia” is so important for a small country like Georgia that has exceptional customs and traditions and is willing to share them with the rest of the world.

International Youth Conference on Biodiversity in Japan 2010

The Ministry of the Environment of Japan („MOE“) will hold the „International Youth Conference on Biodiversity in Aichi 2010″ in Japan in August 2010 in order to promote communication among young people from around the world and to improve their mutual awareness of biodiversity. The conference is associated with the 10th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (so-called „CBD COP10″) that will be held in Aichi in October 2010.
This conference takes impetus from a previous international youth conference held just before COP9 in Germany in May 2008 and the Asia Youth Conference held in Japan in August 2009, and is intended to
(1)   Provide young people who will lead the next generation with opportunities to improve their understanding of and participation in conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity;
(2)   Enhance development of young people who will lead the next generation through participation in a forum of international discussions and activities;
(3)   Facilitate building of an international network for youths and mutual understanding among them.
The MOE is now inviting applications from individuals in colleges, universities and high schools all over the world to participate in the conference.

The International Student Week in Belgrade

The International Student Week in Belgrade (ISWiB) is a one-week student festival open to students of all European Universities.

Association World Youth Wave has so far successfully organized two ISWiBs, first as a pilot project in 2006 and second in 2007. ISWiB 2007 has gathered around 150 students from all over Europe who participated in variety of workshops, panel discussions and lectures. International Student Week in Belgrade will be held for the third time this year, in the period from 9th till 16th August. Festival will gather approx. 200 participants from whole Europe, with the aim of exchanging opinions and views about the hot issues that a modern society has to face, as well as overcoming global differences through personal contacts and mutual understanding.

Participation fee : 80 euros + travel costs

How is life in Borjomi – Georgia???

There are around 2000 internally displaced persons living for years in miserable conditions in old soviet buildings in Borjomi town in Georgia. Driven out of their homes by war in Abhazia in early 90s, they have little possibilities of finding jobs and integrating in the local society ad improving their living conditions.

Interculture language courses – Russia, Turkey and Morocco

Intercultural competence and foreign language skills are seen as essential preconditions for youth mobility, for the development of international activities and for increased youth participation, one of the key priorities of the Council of Europe’s Directorate of Youth and Sport

Three training courses (TCs) on the above subject will be organised this Summer, in Moscow, Istanbul and Rabat, providing Russian, Turkish and Arabic language option to partners of the youth sector, as well as English language option for youth NGOs of the respective countries
